It was inevitable since Thursday – and maybe even beforehand – but Nelly Korda has won the Chevron Championship for the second time in three seasons.

Korda topped a field filled with the game’s best players at Memorial Park Golf Course just outside of Houston by an incredible five shots.
In the process, she became the first American golfer on the LPGA Tour to win three majors since Meg Mallon 26 years ago. She also became just the third major champion on the LPGA Tour to go wire-to-wire leading by multiple shots after all four rounds and the eighth golfer in the LPGA’s history to win the Chevron Championship more than once.
Korda had a five-shot lead after 54 holes – the largest 54-hole lead of her LPGA Tour career – and kept that up through Sunday after a closing 2-under 70.
She did exactly what she needed to do through the finale.
Korda opened with two birdies in the first three holes and despite two bogeys on her back nine she also made back-to-back birdies on Nos. 13 and 14 to stay even coming in – including a lengthy par saver on the 72nd hole of the championship.
“Honestly having that big of a lead, it’s not easy,” Korda admitted. “It was definitely one of the hardest things I’ve had to do mentally. But I have an amazing support system, amazing family right behind me, amazing caddie that’s on the bag, and just happy to get it done.”

This marked Korda’s 17th LPGA Tour title and she is projected to move back to No. 1 in the world rankings. Korda also earned her 22nd Hall of Fame point, with 27 being the cut-off for induction.
Korda has played incredible golf this week but also through the whole of 2026. She started the season with a victory at the rain-shortened Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions but has since recorded four straight top-2 finishes and five overall for the season.
After winning seven times in 2024, Korda was somehow kept winless in 2025. However, as the calendar has turned to 2026 she has been absolutely dominating – and is showing no signs of slowing down.
Ruoning Yin and Patty Tavatanakit finished tied for second at 13 under.

Brooke Henderson finished tied for 49th in her 2026 major debut.
The major championships on the LPGA Tour are coming fast and furious this year as the next one on the schedule is in about a month’s time with the U.S. Women’s Open heading to the iconic Riviera Country Club.
