Our Holiday Gift Shop is officially open! With the holidays just around the corner, it’s time to start your search for the perfect gift. Golf Town of course has everything a golfer could dream of, so I’m here to help narrow down your choices with my top picks for unique gifts this holiday season that any golfer would love.
This jacket is easily our most popular ladies rain jacket. The piper jacket has fully sealed seams, it’s cut just above the knee and can also be cinched at the waist to give it a less casual look. It’s not just for golf either, I have a friend who bought it specifically for a trip to Iceland.
I love this new sock collection, it has a few Christmas options along with a ton of eye catching patterns and some with very cute sayings. We’ve only had it in stock for a few weeks but we gave it it’s own display and we constantly see it being shopped and customers coming up to customer service saying what a great stocking stuffer.
Nike’s air max line of shoes are iconic, have long been among the most popular shoes in the world. That’s why they added these to their golf line, adding a foam midsole and a heel max air unit to help cushion every step. Nike also added an integrated traction pattern to give golfers excellent grip on the course but can easily be worn casually day to day.
These Puma tights are another super popular product, they are a staff favourite and it’s rare not to see one of the girl’s wearing these during a shift. They are double knit and have Puma’s Drycell technology for extra comfort.
This sweater is a great layering piece because it actually adapts to the temperature, it’s unique hybrid construction keeps you warm without losing breathability. It’s also equipped with UA storm technology which repels water making it a great sweater to help battle all the elements.
We got this shoe in stock this fall and we we’re immediately taking calls for it, I even stayed open a little later one day for a customer that drove in from out of province because he had to have a pair. The heel fins help create that iconic Jordan look as well as help stabilize your feet throughout the swing.
We got this new Puma island time snapback collection which has a bunch of fun prints inspired by the tropical vibes of Hawaii and I know I need all the tropical vibes I can soak up with Covid-19 unfortunately limiting travel these days. These hats have Puma’s flex fit moisture wicking sweatband which helps make them extremely comfortable.
I love the feel of this polo from Penguin, it’s lightweight, 4 way stretch breathable material. Like most Penguin polo’s the clubhouse fits a little slimmer than other brands and has a shorter hem which allows you to wear it untucked and sport a more casual look on the links.
Anything that’s good enough for Tiger Woods (who is the best athlete of all time) is good enough for me and that should be the end of this write up, but I digress. This polo is packed with technology, the shoulder seams are rolled back so you can move naturally thru your swing, it has Nike’s dri-FIT technology to help you stay dry and is designed to breathe and stretch without clinging to your skin.
The tour360 XT spiked shoe has been in stock for over a year now and continues to be extremely popular, it’s one of the rare models where I consistently see customers love them so much that they come back and buy a back up pair. They feature adidas’ boost technology which helps cushion every step and comes with a premium leather upper that provides breathable waterproof protection from the elements.
Tyler Friesen is the Softlines Sales Manager at Winnipeg South. He has been working at Golf Town since April 2010. His favourite golf course is Minnewasta Golf and Country Club in Morden, MB. He says it’s a gorgeous but tough track and one of the few courses in Manitoba with any elevation changes. Tyler played on the University of Manitoba golf team for the two years he attended the school in 2007 and 2008. He qualified for the Canadian Men’s Amateur Golf Championship in 2011 where he just missed the cut by eight or so shots. Tyler has three hole in ones and two double eagles so far.
