PXG has been through an evolution in recent years, and that continues with the launch of its 0311 GEN8 irons with three distinct head designs, and a new fitting concept the company says allows fitters to really finetune ball flight. “GEN8 shows how far craftsmanship in golf has evolved,” said PXG Ambassador Gary Player. “These irons blend true performance engineering with incredible attention to detail.”
The key to the 0311 GEN8 irons is a new weighting process, with nearly all golfers who tested the irons being able to distinguish the weight configurations and generate a noticeable face-to-path change at impact. The result, according to testing, was tighter dispersion, better directional control and turf interaction. In other words, a smooth strike where the ball flies at the target.

Dual Perimeter Weighting System
A big move ahead in terms of fitting, this provides club fitters with control over center-of-gravity placement and swing weight. By repositioning mass from the center of the clubhead to the perimeter, the system increases moment of inertia, while improving the precision of center of gravity through the moveable weights. If a fitter moves weight towards the toe or heel, they can adjust the face position at impact.
QuantumCOR
Introduced in the 2024 irons, QuantumCOR is an internal polymer that helps reduce the mass of the core and enables more weight to be positioned low and to the perimeter of the backside of the clubhead, dramatically increasing the moment-of-inertia.
Deep Core Recoil Technology
Designed to increase ball speed and enhance forgiveness, this improves the sound and feel at impact.
Other tech
Using forged 8620 soft carbon steel, and PXG’s Dual Perimeter Weighting System, the irons have the look and feel you’d expect from a premium product.
