50-41 of SCOREGolf‘s Top 100 Canadian  Courses

50. Glencoe Golf Club – Forest

The Forest Course at Glencoe is an arduous tee-to-green examination. An abundance of bunkering and raised, difficult putting surfaces, do a great job of protecting par at this course.

Calgary, AB

Private

49. Essex Golf and Country Club

An elegant Donald Ross design near Windsor, Ontario, Essex boasts an amazing set of green complexes that add definition and intrigue to a mostly flat property.

LaSalle, ON

Private

48. Georgian Bay Golf Club

Roomy fairways, large greens, drop-shot holes and stunning views of the body of water for which it is named make Georgian Bay a super fun course to play.

Clarksburg, ON

Private

47. Mississaugua Golf and Country Club

Mississaugua has had numerous architects contribute to what it is today, but originally it was a collaboration between Stanley Thompson and George Cumming. The Credit River snakes its way through this past Canadian Open host.

Mississauga, ON

Private

46. The Royal Montreal Golf Club – Blue

Designed in 1958 by Dick Wilson and revamped by Rees Jones ahead of the 2007 Presidents Cup, the Blue Course at Royal Montreal offers raised, multi-tiered greens and an exciting back-nine finish.

Ile Bizard, QC

Private

45. Mad River Golf Club

The late Bob Cupp had great sites for his few Canadian courses with Mad River a prime example. Cupp puts your game to the test on a few holes at Mad River but offers you room to maneuver and have fun.

Creemore, ON

Private

44. Le Club Laval-Sur-Le-Lac – Blue

Mike Weir and Ian Andrew rebuilt the formerly mis-matched Blue Course at Laval-sur-le-Lac, turning it into a sensational design with sloping greens and surrounds.

Laval, QC

Private

43. Cherry Hill Club

Cherry Hill, a Walter J. Travis design, is a study in subtlety. The land on which it sits isn’t as dynamic as others on this list but its holes are strategic sensations with excellent bunkers and terrific greens.

Ridgeway, ON

Private

42. Ottawa Hunt and Golf Club – South, West

Renovated by Michael Hurdzan, the South and West nines at Ottawa Hunt have really impressed panellists given the movement and flow of their land. The course was also a big hit with players at the 2017 CP Women’s Open.

Ottawa, ON

Private

41. Calgary Golf and Country Club

On billowing property beside the Elbow River, Calgary Country Club is a rollicking good time with one of the best 18th holes in Canada. Willie Park, Jr., designed this course.

Calgary, AB

Private

  1. Would love to play the Calgary Golf and county club as a guest as it is a private club.
