Lakers vs. Celtics, Yankees vs. Red Sox, Ohio State vs. Michigan and now Brooks Koepka vs. Bryson DeChambeau.
The biggest rivalry in golf will go head-to-head in the 5th installment of Capital One’s The Match. The match will be held at the Wynn Golf Course in Las Vegas on November 26th, 2021.

The 12-hole event that will have open mics for both players will be broadcast live on TNT at 4 p.m. ET on Nov. 26 with simulcast coverage available on TBS, truTV and HLN.
Bleacher Report will stream a fan question press conference with Brooks Koepka and Bryson DeChambeau at 2:30 p.m. ET on Nov. 26 ahead of The Match’s 4 p.m. ET start. This will stream on the B/R app, and will feature both pre-submitted fan questions and some live questions read by hosts.
During July’s The Match, “Rang Battles” pre-shows were done to engage the fans but this time around will be focused on a “press conference” of questions from fans and special guests.
This will be the first time in Capital One’s The Match history Phil Mickelson won’t be playing in it. “Lefty” has played in the first four matches. He last teamed up with Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady to go up against Bryson DeChambeau and Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. This time around, Mickelson will be in the booth, making his official announcing debut alongside play-by-play man Brian Anderson and Charles Barkley.
Mickelson and Barkley teamed up to defeat NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Manning and Warriors guard Stephen Curry on Nov. 27, 2020.
More than two years since their feud started in January 2019, DeChambeau and Koepka, both major winners, put aside their long-standing rivalry to help the United States historic 19-9 Ryder Cup victory against Europe. Both players hugged twice during the celebration.
DeChambeau hinted at “something fun coming up here” during his news conference at the Ryder Cup. Koepka was asked about it two days later at his news conference and said: “I have no idea. I didn’t listen to the comment or hear what he said.”
This will be Koepka first time participating Capital One’s The Match, while DeChambeau, has won The Match before, teaming up with NFL star Aaron Rodgers to defeat seven-time Super Bowl winner Tom Brady and six-time major winner Phil Mickelson in July.
Who do you think will come out on top? Are you #TeamKoepka or #TeamDeChambeau and who will have the best trash talk during the event?
Capital One’s The Match & The Community
The closest-to-the-pin and longest drives challenges have been confirmed and will also aim to do a lot of good for the community with Feeding American, two prominent children’s hospitals as well as the APGA on the receiving end of some big bucks.
No. 3: DraftKings Closest to the Hole
A $50,000 charitable donation will be made in the player’s name for whoever lands his tee shot closest to the hole. If the ball gets within five feet of the hole, an additional $150,000 will be donated. A $2 million donation will be made for a hole-in-one.
No. 6: Wheels Up/Meals Up and Feeding America Closest to the Hole
The player who gets closest to the hole here will help donate 500,000 meals to Feeding America. If a shot ends up within five feet of the hole, an additional 1 ½ million meals will be donated. A whopping 20 million meals will be donated if DeCheambeau or Koepka makes a hole-in-one.
No. 7: Capital One Venture X Long Drive Challenge
Don’t pencil in DeChambeau for this one just yet. Whoever hits the longest drive here will get to donate $200,000.
No. 9: ZipRecruiter Closest to the Hole
Another closest-to-the-pin contest and this one is good for a $50,000 donation. A shot that ends up within five feet of the hole will provide an additional $150,000 donation. An ace is good for a $2 million donation.
No. 11: Wagoneer Closest to the Hole
Closest to the pin is good for a $50,000 donation. Any shot that ends up within five feet of the hole will provide an additional $150,000 donation. An ace is good for a $2 million donation.
Capital One will also provide $15 million in community investments and grants to small businesses across the country to help them throughout the pandemic with additional grants aimed at helping Black business owners through an ongoing partnership with AEO (Association for Enterprise Opportunity).
I call DeChambeau the De Champ in this one.
I would rather see these two go head to head in a u.f.c. octagon ring in Vegas.
