SCOTTY CAMERON GOES XPERIMENTAL

As major manufacturers continue to embrace the forgiving performance of mallet putters, Scotty Cameron is evolving right alongside them, bringing its signature craftsmanship and precision to a new generation of designs. The classic Scotty blade remains a timeless favourite among golfers, but the brand is also looking ahead with two prototype-inspired mallets from its Studio Xperimental line, blending tradition with tour-driven innovation.

“Studio Xperimental is all about sharing with players something special: prototype-inspired setups crafted for those who demand performance and technology with a clean, tour-proven look,” says Scotty Cameron. “With the line’s multi-material design, chain-link face milling, unique alignment features and custom grip and shaft, every element of Studio Xperimental is designed to inspire confidence – from setup to stroke.”

While the Squareback 2 and Fastback 2 putters are both inspired by what’s being developed for the PGA Tour, they have very different head shapes. However, they also share similarities, including multi-material construction, with a 3030 stainless steel body and 6061 aluminum sole, as well as the I-beam plumbing neck. Additionally, both have a black nickel-plated face insert with chain-link face milling and parallel sight links.

With a steel gray finish that is glare resistant, a black nickel-plated face of carbon steel for a great sound and feel, and chain-link face milling to reduce touch points at impact, the two putters offer a distinct look within the Scotty Cameron line.

Squareback 2

A highly forgiving putter, the Squareback 2 offers a more angular appearance at address for those golfers who prefer sharp lines to help them with alignment. You’ll get the I-beam plumbing neck for those who rotate the putter through impact, and a high MOI for more forgiveness and stability.

Fastback 2

Another high MOI putter, the Fastback 2 using the I-beam plumbing neck with the ring-weighted and rounded mid-mallet shape found in the Studio Style Fastback. With two-tone alignment and high forgiveness, this fits the modern trend of tour golfers seeking putters that offer more stability through the stroke.
