No matter Dad’s ability, he’ll be thrilled to receive a gift from Golf Town this Father’s Day.

From the latest in laser GPS watches and rangefinders to portable speakers to the most innovative golf balls on the market, technology has played a huge role in how Dad can enjoy golf even more.

Take a look at some fun ideas for Dad this Father’s Day and load him up on golf balls or the latest in on-course technology to help him improve.

BALLS

Titleist Pro V1/Pro V1x

The No.1 ball in golf across all the major tours somehow got better once again for 2019. The Pro V1 offers total performance with more speed, thanks to a 17 percent thinner cover, for extra distance, low long-game spin with penetrating flight. The Pro V1x also has the same, thinner cover but with a higher trajectory and consistent ball flight. It’s also now available in yellow for the first time, which Bubba Watson uses on the PGA Tour.

Callaway Chrome Soft X Triple Track/ERC Soft

Both balls from Callaway feature a new core infused with Graphene, which scientist claim to be the strongest material ever discovered by man. The result? Tour-proven distance with unparalleled feel. Both balls also feature the new triple track technology, a series of lines inspired by planes landing on aircraft carriers for better alignment. Phil Mickelson keep the Chrome Soft X with Triple Track in his bag.

 TaylorMade TP5 Pix

The new TP5 Pix from TaylorMade takes all the key technology additions from the TP5 – 5-layer ball construction with a Tri-Fast core that delivers maximum carry and complete tee-to-green performance without sacrifice – and adds a multi-colour single design graphic for high visibility.

 Volvik Vivid

The Vivid from Volvik comes in a variety of bright colours and provide distance without sacrificing feel thanks to its matte cover. The ball reduces spin on longer shots but is still workable around the greens.

Bridgestone Tour B XS – TW Edition

Dad might not have won the 2019 Masters, but he can still play the ball that did. The Tour B XS – Tiger Woods edition is a collaboration between Tiger Woods and Bridgestone, benefitting the TGR Foundation. The specs are the exact same as Woods’ game ball: there’s a softer cover with SlipRes technology and a gradation core for increased ball speed.

TECHNOLOGY

SkyTrak Launch Monitor

SkyTrak’s unique design is completely wireless, meaning Dad can practice – and get accurate numbers – anywhere. It’s a fun but serious tool to help Dad improve and for the first time, you can get a reliable simulator with the accuracy of a launch monitor that would usually cost up to five times as much. Dad can get immediate feedback thanks to 3D visualization powered by SkyTrak’s flight model and ball-spin measurement.

 PUMA Soundchuck Mini

This portable Bluetooth speaker from PUMA can attach to any golf bag or cart. Let Dad bring music anywhere he plays golf with this durable portable speaker. It has more than six hours of battery life and gives listeners a superior acoustic performance.

 Garmin S20 & S10

These two popular GPS watches from Garmin are easy-to-use with a high-resolution and highly readable screen. Both watches have a ton of great features to keep track of scores, total time played, and more. The S10 has 12 hours of battery life while the S20 has 15 hours.

 Bushnell Tour V4 Shift

The V4 Shift from Bushnell is the number-one rangefinder in golf and its newest version has slope-switch technology, letting its users be compensated using slope. It’s new JOLT technology gives its user a vibrating burst when its target is locked in. The laser is accurate to a mere one yard.

 Garmin Z80

The Z80 from Garmin features more than 41,000 courses worldwide, giving its users a full-colour CourseView and Green View overlay in 2-D for the hole being played. At the same time you get distances to targets – accurate to within just 10 inches – you also get distances to hazards, which speeds up play.

 Garmin G80

This handheld GPS has a rechargeable battery with up 15 hours of life and a 3.5” sunlight-readable touchscreen. Loaded with more than 41,000 courses worldwide, the radar also has an integrated launch monitor to track head speed, ball speed, smash factor, swing tempo and more.
