Get your tunes flowing on course with Sun Mountain’s Boom Bag

“Did anyone bring the speaker?”

It is a pretty common question at a lot of golf courses these days, with background music becoming common among many golfers who connect their phone to a Blue Tooth speaker just as readily as they pop a tee into the ground.

Sun Mountain is addressing the trend directly with the creation of the Boom Bag, a cart bag aimed at the golfer who wants to listen to some tunes while tipping it up.

Powered For Your Music

While there’s lots of standard elements to the Boom Bag—it comes with either a 14-way or 5-way top with full-length dividers—it is its ability to connect with your phone, and therefore your music library, that makes it unique. The bag has a ventilated cooler pocket—ideal for keeping your drink cold—and a pocket lined with velour and multiple slots for your phone and an additional battery to make sure the songs last for all 18 holes.

The speakers are built in to the top of the bag, allowing them to distribute sound readily.

But the basic question is whether the Boom Bag functions as well as a bag as it does as a sound system. There are plenty of pockets on the bag, and the cooler pocket can hold three or four, ahem, “adult” beverages if that’s what you’re looking for. The aesthetic is clean and modern, and the bag is available in a variety of different styles, including black/ice/inferno, black/gray, gray/garnet/black, black/camo/atomic and black/white/gray, while the 5-Way bag comes in black/white and cement/ocean/black.

Is it for you?

Do you like to have the tunes pumping when you’re out with your buddies? Tired of lugging that speaker with you during your games? Like to ride when you play? If you’re that golfer, then the Boom Bag is likely a great fit.

    1. Why would you want music on a golf course! I’ve see it and heard it before and in both cases the goofs playing the music were drunk and disorderly. It’s a really bad development

  1. MUSIC ON THE COURSE!!!! Whats up with that? What course cause I won’t be playing at any that do any time soon.

    Gees whats next?

  2. Anyone who endorses a BOOMBOX on the course is an idiot, and has no interest in maintaining the traditions of the game. Most play to escape the noise. If you like music while playing, invest in headphones and let the rest of us play with the sounds of friends and nature.
