In tandem with the release of the LTDx driver, Cobra’s fairway woods and hybrids provide versatility and performance for golfers off all skill levels.
No matter if you’re a tour professional or a 30-handicap weekend warrior, fairway woods and hybrids make up a key part of the game. Off the tee, from the fairway or rough, and even around the greens from time to time, these clubs are the definition of utility and performance no matter how you use them. With Cobra’s LTDx fairway woods and hybrids, golfers can expect more of what they crave on the course: longer distance and improved forgiveness for more consistent play. The LTDx family of clubs can be pre-ordered now and will be available both in store and online Feb. 11, 2022.
PWR-COR
Similar to what you’ll find in the LTDx driver line, the fairway woods are equipped with PWR-Core, a weighted inside that runs along the sole of the club near the face. It’s a key piece of tech that promotes faster ball speeds and a low, driving trajectory that golfers love from their fairways woods.
H.O.T. Face
Most golfers have wear patterns on their club faces that resemble the randomness of the constellations opposed to the precisely indented dime-sized shape you see on the professionals clubs. The vast majority of golfers don’t find the club face centre at impact, which is why H.O.T. (Highly Optimized Topology) Face utilizes machine learning to provide extraordinary speed and distance on 15 hitting zones across the face. Whether you toe it, heel it, thin it, or catch it high on the face, these fairway woods and hybrids still go a long way.
PWR-SHELL
A staple in Cobra’s repertoire of technological achievements, PWRSHELL is once again employed, this time in their hybrids. The physics and scientific lingo is confusing, but the end result isn’t—a slingshot effect that captures and then redeploys energy back into the ball for longer carries, optimal trajectories, and a lower, more forward CG.
Fairway Wood Offerings
So that every golfer can maximize their potential, Cobra has introduced three unique head designs that reflect their driver models, each tailored to specific preferences and skill levels.
LTDx
The standard model that combines forgiveness and distance to help the mid-handicapper advance their games.
LTDxLS
Designed with the better player in mind, the LS model has a taller face and a more classic profile. If you’re a low-handicapper or someone who spins the ball excessively, you’ll enjoy what the LS has to offer.
LTDxMax
The most forgiving out of the group, the LTDMax provides a significant draw-bias that helps those who slice the ball keep it in play.
Hybrid Offerings
On the hybrid front, Cobra is offering the standard LTDx in a 16°, 18°, 20°, 23° and 27° options. Cobra’s signature one-length options will also be available in 18°, 20°, and 23° options, with a women’s LTDx model coming in a sleek elderberry finish that’s available in 20°, 23°, 27°, and 30° options.
