Callaway asked a very simple question when they were in the early stages of designing their new irons: why do irons have to be either long or feel great?
The answer they learned was their new Paradym irons could be the best of both worlds.
“Typically, there’s a distance iron, and then there’s a player’s iron,” said Callaway’s Senior Global Director of Products Dave Neville. “But with the construction of our new Paradym irons, you get the best of ball speed and feel.”
The two models—Paradym and Paradym X—both feature Callaway’s A.I. face technology, hollow body design, and speed frame construction, which lead to the impressive distance. The forged face with patented Urethane Microspheres delivers the ultra-soft feel and premium sound that many players covet.
“These irons were redesigned from the ground up,” Neville said. “We’ve got great feedback from our players and A.I. testing on these irons and we can’t wait to get them in the hands of golfers everywhere.”
Let’s take a look at each iron.
Paradym Iron details
Callaway’s A.I. face technology was applied to the Paradym irons, resulting in a forged 455 face which optimizes conditions for speed, higher launch, and increased spin. The same forged face features patented urethane microspheres for a soft feel and premium sound. Nearly 67-grams of external and internal tungsten weights were placed precisely to enhance launch conditions and improve speed on mishits, while a pre-worn leading edge is designed to cut through the turf more efficiently for even more forgiveness.
Who are they for?
A golfer who is looking for a player’s distance iron with great shape and premium forging.
Paradym X Iron details:
The Paradym X irons feature many of the same technologies as the Paradym irons like the A.I. designed forged 455 face, patented urethane microspheres, hollow body and speed frame construction, refined forgiving shape, 79-grams of external and internal weight. Where the two clubs differ is in distance—the Paradym X irons are exceptionally long.
Who are they for?
If you’re a golfer who is after an iron where distance is key, yet has a refined look and premium forged feel, this is going to be an iron you’ll want to consider.
