New adidas TOUR360 includes a new spikeless version

Iconic—that’s how one might describe the TOUR360, which has been worn on the feet of numerous major champions, from Dustin Johnson to Sergio Garcia.

The TOUR360 family of shoes is now in its teens, and has reached a stage where adidas felt comfortable giving the brand a significant overhaul, including its first spikeless version. Dustin Johnson has always said there’s no way he’d wear a spikeless shoe, but this version peaked his interest and we may see them in play this year. That’s saying a lot about the first spikeless version of the shoe, but for those that still want to be very connected to the ground, the TOUR360 XT offers more stability and even better traction than previous models. There’s a new TPU outsole, an eight-spike traction system and BOOST for more cushioning and comfort.

Features & Benefits

X-Traxion

The XT model is named for its traction system on the outsole, which offers more stability and flexibility at the same time. With eight-sided touch points with the turf, players have better turf interaction than any previous TOUR360 model.

BOOST

A cushioning and comfort system that adidas says is the best in the game is now even better. Reworked throughout the shoe, BOOST in the heel and forefoot are wider, offering more stability and comfort. It also has a lower-profile in this version of the shoe.

Spikeless

The entire outsole of the TOUR360 XT SL features the X-Traxion lug system, with some lugs going deeper into the ground to assist with overall traction. The spikeless version also uses the X-Torsion system in the midfoot for extra stability.

Boa

The TOUR360 XT SL is available in Boa (coming later this spring), which has found a significant following in Canada. The L6 Boa system is positioned on the tongue to tighten the shoe and lock the foot into place. The 360 also features the new INSITE sockliner (in all models) that helps add stability, especially in the Boa models.

Who’s It For?

In the past, TOUR360 was a shoe for those who wanted the best performance in sports-first package. That’s still the same with the TOUR360 XT, but with the addition of the SL spikeless model, the shoe will now appeal to those who were more comfortable without the added traction. More comfortable and lighter—this is a leader in the performance golf shoe category.

Adidas TOUR360 XT and XT SL are available now in stores and online.
