New adidas Golf adicross Line Isn’t Your Traditional Golf Apparel

The Approach: “We’ve been looking at the industry, and what we’re seeing is clothing that’s transferrable from golf and away from the course.”

That’s the take of Lesley Hawkins, General Manager of adidas Golf Canada. The clothing company’s latest line—adicross, an apparel line of hoodies, Oxfords, t-shirts, shorts, joggers and other items will work (largely) on the course, and also in a more casual setting.

“We’re seeing dress codes change at courses and there’s a great opportunity to do something different and unique,” Hawkins says.

You won’t find tour pros wearing adicross at PGA Tour events, but several have embraced the line, including Dustin Johnson (who could be seen at TaylorMade’s Kingdom facility hitting balls just before Christmas in adicross clothing), as well as Spanish star Jon Rahm.

Each piece in the adicross line is designed to allow golfers to transition from the first tee to their life away from the course.
