ECCO’S LIMITED EDITION GOLF STREET 10 PAYS HOMAGE TO FRED COUPLES DEBUT OF THE SHOE AT THE MASTERS IN 2010

A decade ago, Fred Couples made history at the first round of The Masters, not so much by his play on the course, but rather wearing something that hadn’t ever been worn. At a time when spikeless golf shoes were a rarity at any course, let alone the hallowed grounds of Augusta National, viewers, patrons, commentators and fellow competitors alike couldn’t help but gaze curiously at the veteran’s casual shoes. The golf world was abuzz as the ever-chill Couples somehow outdid himself, turning a century-old industry on its head over the course of 18 holes.

In homage to that round, Ecco has once again reimagined the modern golf shoe, introducing their highly-touted Limited Edition Golf Street 10. With a new P.U Phorene midsole that is lighter and more shock-absorbent than previous models, the Golf Street 10 is even more comfortable than the original model, as well as providing optimal energy return on each step. A luxuriously plush leather upper delivers the unmistakably clean aesthetic Ecco is known for, while the Dynamic Traction System which is the foundation of the spikeless revolution, adorns its outsole. And yes, these shoes are as versatile as the man who made them famous, allowing them to be worn on the greens and in the office.

Are they for you?

If you’re wanting to wear the very best materials and experience unparalleled comfort, you won’t think twice about purchasing this shoe. After all, Fred Couples is the epitome of cool—and who wouldn’t want to be a little bit more like Freddie?

  1. I am on my third pair of Ecco Street golf shoes (it isn’t that they are wearing out…just like extra colour options)..
They are super comfortable and look great.

Now, if only I could play like Freddie in my Streets!
