The influence of Golf in Canada

Golf in Canada has a massive impact on the country.

Consider this

Golf in Canada has an economic impact of more than $14-billion annually, charitable impact of $500-million every year, with more than 5-million Canadians playing the game regularly from coast to coast. In fact, the stats suggest more Canadians play golf per capita than practically anywhere else in the world, and that participation in the game is higher than any other sport in this country.

But finding out about the habits of Canadian golfers—what they spend, where they play, how often they tee it up—is intrinsic to demonstrating the importance of the game. That’s where the “We Are Golf 2019” survey comes in.

The survey is, led by the leading group of golf organizations in the country; including Golf Canada, the PGA of Canada, the Canadian Golf Superintendents Association, the National Golf Course Owners Association, and the Canadian Society of Club Managers. The goal of the study is to put numbers to the impact of golf on the Canadian economy.

The partners involved in the survey are working through multiple mediums to get the word on the survey and to get Canadian golfers involved.  The impact of its results—on lobbying efforts and promoting the game—are massive.

If you want to have your say and input on the sport in Canada, consider taking a few minutes to participate in the survey: https://www.research.net/r/wearegolf2019.
