With four Top 10 finishes in her last seven starts, including a win in New Zealand, Golf Town athlete Brooke Henderson is on a roll heading to the end of the LPGA Tour season.
Despite her recent success, Henderson couldn’t keep up the momentum in Japan this past weekend, finishing at 6-under par in T42.
Henderson had considerable success in Japan, winning the individual title at the World Amateur Championship the last time see teed it up in the country.
With the Asian swing of the LPGA behind her, Henderson now has her sights set on the year-end CME Group Tour Championship in Naples, Florida, where the Canadian has a home. Henderson sits fourth on the CME ranking, heading into the tournament.
“It’s really exciting to be in the position that I am,” she told reporters regarding her position in the LPGA Tour’s Race to the CME Globe. “At CME, I’ve played pretty well there the last two years so hopefully I can get four good rounds together to put myself into a good position on Sunday and hopefully good things will happen.”
I’ve followed Brooke’s career since she won as an amateur at Komoka’s Firerock Golf Club. Had the pleasure of chatting to her and checking her scorecard. Keep enjoying your golf Brooke and success will follow. Good luck for the CME.
