AS THE FEDEXCUP PLAYOFFS CONTINUE, WHO’S IN AND WHO’S OUT

The FedEx Cup playoffs started with 125 players. Following Will Zalatoris’ three-hole playoff victory at the FedEx St. Jude Championship, only 70 players advanced to this week’s BMW Championship. After that, the top 30 will qualify for the season-ending Tour Championship with a shot at the $18 million payday.

The Top 5 is rounded out by Tony Finau, who finished T5, and moved up two spots. Finau may well be the hottest golfer on the planet, and is poised to make a run at the FedExCup.

Who made moves

The Canadians

Adam Hadwin will move on, sitting at 59 in the standings, down nine spots on the week. Taylor Pendrith squeaks by, finishing at 67, down 7 spots. Corey Conners (now at 30) and Mackenzie Hughes (52) also move on. Unfortunately, Adam Svensson’s season and Nick Taylor, did not finish within the top 70 and have missed the cut concluding their season.
