Although it may not be officially the end of an era, Golf Town Athletes Brooke and Brittany Henderson’s working relationship is taking a pause – but for the best of reasons!
Announced in January, Brittany is expecting her first child with husband Zach later this year. Given the obvious demands on her as a caddy to one of the best golfers in the world – and the week-in and week-out travel required – Brittany made the decision to only caddy for Brooke during the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions in 2026.
In a recent interview, Brittany said she may return for either the season finale – the CME Group Tour Championship – or the Grant Thornton Invitational (where Brooke has played the last three years alongside Corey Conners), as both events are hosted in southwest Florida near where she lives at the end of this year. But for now, she will be sitting on the sidelines.

It was an odd end to the Tournament of Champions as the LPGA Tour made a late decision to shorten the event to just 54 holes. However, with Brooke shooting a tidy 6-under 66 in the third round (the second-lowest round of the day), she ended up finishing third alone – continuing her excellent string of results at the LPGA Tour season opener, including a win in 2023.
“Very pleased to shoot 6-under. It was really fun to make a bunch of birdies. I felt like I was hitting it really well and Brit was doing a really good job of calculating distances and giving me the right yardage and the right clubs to hit, so it was really fun. I hit a lot of greens and gave myself a lot of opportunities, and it was nice to see some putts roll in,” Brooke said of her Saturday round, which turned out to be the finale.
The LPGA Tour is now off for three weeks before its first Asian Swing of the year, starting in Thailand. There are three events on the calendar in Asia before the Tour returns to the mainland United States for the Fortinet Founders Cup in California.
Brooke will have a veteran caddie, John Killeen, on her bag when she heads to Asia. Killeen is a friend of the family, Brooke said, and has worked on the LPGA Tour for more than four decades. Some of the golfers he’s worked for include legends of the game like Juli Inkster, Meg Mallon, and Christie Kerr.
No amount of experience can replicate that of these two sisters, however!

They are one of the LPGA Tour’s longest-standing player-caddie duos and have had incredible success together including 13 wins (two of them majors), plus three Olympic games. What so many people don’t see, of course, is all of the unspoken things that lead to the on-course success – because of their unbreakable sister bond.
Brittany was also a wonderful golfer herself growing up – the story has long been that if Brittany wasn’t a golfer, then we may not have seen Brooke play, either. Brittany played professionally for a short while before pivoting to caddying and was inducted into Costal Carolina’s Athletics Hall of Fame in 2018 after leading the school to a pair of conference championships in 2011 and 2013.

“I could tell her anything and she kind of knew how to help me in any situation on or off the course. And just so much trust. Coming down the stretch when I needed big shots or handling pressure, I just really could trust in her. Like I said, she knew exactly what to say or what not to say in those moments. I think that’s probably going to be the biggest thing, is just the closeness and the relationship we shared together,” Brooke said of what she’ll miss on a weekly basis with Brittany at home.
“There are a lot of things but […] I’m just really happy and excited for her to start this new chapter in her life.”
We wish Brittany all the best over the course of 2026, and for whatever is to come next!
