Spider GT Rollback
A compact mid-mallet, Spider GT Rollback is an incredibly stable option for its size, made possible in part by TaylorMade adding a tungsten bar around the perimeter of the head for optimal weighting. You’ll also notice something unique about Spider GT Rollback in the way of visual aid and alignment. With an elevated area at the impact zone, you can more easily get your ball centred along the putter face. Not only does this help you hit more putts out of the most responsive part of the putter, you also have the added benefit of more accurately aligning your ball at address. If you’re a blade putter who is debating getting a mallet, or someone who has always enjoyed the compact feel and look of a mid-mallet, Spider GT Rollback is undoubtedly worth a look.
Spider GT Splitback
A classic winged mallet that’s been a staple in the Spider line for some time, the latest Spider GT Splitback incorporates tried designs with an improved construction process using 304-stainless steel for even better MOI and stability through impact. Continued from Spider X, GT Splitback will be equipped with Tru Path, a highly contrasted alignment tool that helps golfers perfect their line while at address.
Spider GT
Tremendously large helpings of forgiveness and stability, in a design that suggests the modern advancements TaylorMade has achieved—that’s what you can expect from Spider GT. With a feathery light aluminium centre and two outer back weights, Spider GT has over 80% of the putter head’s total mass located around the perimeter, producing unrivalled stability across the face. Spider GT Notchback
A semi-circle shape with a squared off back, Spider GT Notchback is a classic shape full of a modern advances. To add stability to the compact mallet design, TaylorMade put loads of tungsten weight in the heel and toe, while using lightweight aluminum in the central construction. For effortless clubhead rotation and a firm, pure roll, they’ve also put the CG extremely forward. When you add it together, you get a flatstick that delivers a crisp strike and consistent roll. If you’re a devout blade putter, but have been tempted with the idea of switching over to a mallet, this option is best for you.
Are they for me?
If you play golf, then the answer is yes. You don’t need to be currently playing a mallet to benefit from the advances made by TaylorMade’s GT Spider line. Every golfer can use more stability and consistency across the putter face, which is what TaylorMade set out to do with GT.
