We all know Srixon are renown for their irons. The look, feel and performance are premium and have won over a lot of golfers. Now Srixon are looking to have the same success with their new ZX5 & 7 drivers. Both drivers are designed to feed the need for speed and officially launch in North America on January 15, 2021.
Both the ZX5 & 7 drivers help generate more speed and distance thanks to Srixon’s new Rebound Frame Technology. What exactly is Rebound Frame Technology? Jeff Brunski, Vice President of Research and Development describes it as a layering alternating zones of flexibility and stiffness that work in tandem to focus more energy into the ball at impact. The result is increased ball speed and distance off every tee.
With assistance from their tour staff, Srixon’s ZX drivers bring speed and power to the forefront. Both drivers feature a strong but lightweight carbon crown that is 15% larger than the previous generations. This new crown repositions mass low, deep, and around the perimeter, increasing MOI and forgiveness on every drive.
ZX5
This driver is the more forgiving one due to a larger footprint and flattened shape. It features an adjustable hosel provides variation in loft, lie, and face angle as well as a single weight placed low and deep to help make ZX5 drivers ideal for straight drives that launch high and carry far. The ZX5 is more triangular looking than the ZX7 with a more rounded crown.
ZX7
The ZX7 driver delivers total control due to the moveable heel and toe sole weights. The four and eight gram weights can be switched for either a draw or fade bias giving any player their desired launch conditions. It also features a more rounded shape and a noticeably more penetrating ball flight and a muted sound.
The ZX7 driver comes standard with the Project X HZRDUS Smoke Black Shaft, while the ZX5 driver features the Project X HZRDUS EvenFlow Riptide Shaft. Every driver in the family features the Golf Pride Tour Velvet 360 Grip.
Both drivers will be available in store and online January 15, 2021.
