NEW TAYLORMADE TP5 & TP5X GOLF BALLS

For 2026, TaylorMade has taken a major step forward in consistency and performance with the all-new TP5 and TP5x golf balls, their most advanced Tour ball family to date.

Solving an Invisible Performance Issue

During extensive research and development, TaylorMade engineers uncovered a problem that had long gone unnoticed in golf ball manufacturing. With traditional finishing processes, paint can pool unevenly within the dimples of a golf ball. While invisible to the naked eye, this inconsistency can subtly affect aerodynamics and lead to unpredictable ball flight.

To address this, TaylorMade introduced a revolutionary microcoating technology. This process applies an ultra-thin, perfectly even layer of paint across the entire surface of the golf ball. By precisely controlling paint weight, cure times, temperatures, and application methods, TaylorMade eliminated inconsistencies that could alter how the ball moves through the air. For golfers, this translates into more reliable launch conditions, tighter dispersion, consistent distances, and improved stability.

TP5: Soft Feel with Faster Performance

The new TP5 remains TaylorMade’s softest five-layer Tour golf ball, but for 2026 it delivers even more speed. A newly designed, larger Tour core reduces contact time at impact, allowing the ball to retain more energy and generate faster ball speeds on full swings.

TaylorMade also reengineered the Tour Flight Dimple Pattern in TP5. The updated design reduces turbulence and creates an optimized lift-to-drag ratio, producing a slightly lower, more penetrating ball flight. Combined with its soft feel and excellent greenside control, TP5 offers a balanced performance profile built for golfers who value feel without sacrificing distance.

TP5x: Maximum Speed and Lower Spin

For players looking to unlock every possible yard, TP5x stands as TaylorMade’s fastest and lowest-spinning five-layer Tour golf ball. New mantle materials create exceptional speed, particularly with the driver and long irons, while the firmer internal construction helps manage spin throughout the flight. This refined speed gradient allows TP5x to launch higher with lower spin off the tee, promoting longer carry and more efficient distance.

Visual Technology That Builds Confidence

Golfers can choose from a wide range of visual options, including white, yellow, pix, and Stripe models which feature an updated 360° Tour ClearPath Alignment system.

Choosing Between TP5 and TP5x

Golfers who prefer a softer feel and slightly higher spin profile may gravitate toward TP5, while those seeking maximum speed, lower driver spin, and a firmer feel will benefit from TP5x.
