Mizuno’s new T-1 and T-3 wedges offer control, great feel and spin consistency that you’d expect from the exacting standards Mizuno offers.
The Pro T-1 is designed for the feel and consistency demanded by elite players, as well as the versality that results in lowers scores. The T-3, which one pundit called “a player’s cavity back wedge” offers more forgiveness and will appeal to a broader range of players.
Pro T-1
Forging
Mizuno is known worldwide for its elegant forging processes, and this is no exception. Using Mizuno’s Grain Flow Forged HD process and constructed from 1025 Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel, with the Copper Underlay, the T-1 wedges have an incredibly soft feel.
Shaping
T-1 wedges offer a buttery smooth feel that is synonymous with Mizuno. The compact Teardrop Shape, coupled with a straighter leading edge, gives these wedges an elegant yet highly functional profile, ideal for precision shots and effortless turf interaction.
Spin control
T-1 wedges were engineered to provide great spin in dry and wet conditions and on full and part shots. Using Quad Cut plus grooves and Hydroflow Micro Grooves technology, the tighter groove pattern maximizes spin rates, while the Hydroflow technology helps channel moisture away from the grooves for consistent performance. The lower lofts have a focus on spin control on full shots, while the higher lofted clubs focus more on greenside spin on chips.
Pro T-3
Forging
Using Mizuno’s Grain Flow Forged HD process and constructed from 1025 Pure Select Mild Carbon Steel, with the Copper Underlay, the T-3 wedges have the same feel you get on the T-1 offering.
Cavity back
The inclusion of a shallow cavity back, which increases the head length and adds stability, is the key to the T-3 wedges. The cavity back makes these wedges more forgiving on strikes that don’t catch the centre of the clubface.
Spin control
T-3 wedges use the same groove technology found in the T-1 wedges. That means you’ll have great spin control on full shots, and the ability to get spin on short chips, regardless of whether you’re in wet or dry conditions.
