INTRODUCING TAYLORMADE’S NEW P770 IRONS

With direct feedback from tour players coupled with exhaustive analysis, TaylorMade was able to develop a clean profile in the new P770 clubheads that will appeal to better golfers. “We’ve done a lot of work to fine-tune the feel of the new P770,” says Matt Bovee, Global Category Director for Irons and Wedges. “This is the ideal iron for the player who needs some forgiveness and performance benefits but doesn’t want to sacrifice any feeling or control. In my opinion, this is our most forgiving, best feeling P770 to date.”

P770 irons incorporate precision-milled faces and grooves that promote consistent launch and spin for optimal trajectory and distance control. These irons utilize forged construction to deliver a pure feel at impact as well as exacting sound, responsiveness, and feedback.

Refined Shaping

The newest P770 has a thinner topline visual partnered with a confident compact head shape that promotes a cleaner look and improved turf interaction. This newly modified leading-edge design will help players deliver consistent shot shaping and clean turf interaction, minimizing on-course errors.

Key Tech

TaylorMade’s FLTD CG is a key technological component of the P770 irons. This technology positions the club’s center of gravity (CG) lower in the long irons with the CG becoming progressively higher in the short irons, allowing golfers to hit their windows with the flight of their shots. Moreover, the updated tungsten weight and a wider sole ensure consistent ball flight in short and mid irons and improve launch and forgiveness with long irons. These upgrades foster the ideal launch conditions with each club.

Are they for you?

If you’re a modern golfer who emphasizes feel, consistency, and stability with a touch of speed in long irons—as well as a smaller blade size—it’s time to make the jump from your cavity back irons to a thinner iron that gives ‘blade-esque’ visuals.

P7CB Irons

TaylorMade also released their new P7CB irons. Compared to the P770 irons, golfers will notice a significantly thinner, more compact shape in the P7CB. Click here to learn more.
