Designer Spotlight: G/FORE’s Mossimo Giannulli takes colourful, fashionable approach

White golf gloves are so … 2018. Why not kick it up a notch with something different? That’s the perspective of G/FORE and its creative director, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli. Mossimo, an avid golfer best known for the clothing company he created in the 1990s, wanted to bring a pop of colour to the sport—and he’s done just that with his signature glove line.

“I wanted to infuse colour into a category that had been ignored for years,” he said in an interview.  “Our heroes in golf had worn coloured gloves and it felt like it was time again. A glove is a great accessory to compliment your apparel on the course.”

Using AA Cabretta leather and meticulously designed for an exceptional fit, G/FORE gloves provide golfers with expected comfort, but it is the design and aesthetic that sets them apart. Now available on golftown.com in a variety of colours that capture the renowned boldness of the G/FORE brand, the brand’s gloves offer the perfect touch in helping you complete the ultimate golf outfit.

“The coloured glove is rooted in history and truly not a departure from golf tradition,” Mossimo says. “The consumer has embraced colour, for me it’s no different than a pocket square in a gentleman’s pocket. A small bit of colour to add energy and a bit of whimsy.”

What’s next

G/FORE has moved beyond just gloves, pushing the company into clothing and footwear, which you can expect to see later this year at Golf Town for both men and women.  “We continue to push the boundaries in all product categories,” says Mossimo. “We now have a broad assortment from head to toe. We will continue to be disruptive while always giving a nod to tradition.”

  1. I think I would have bought a few pairs except for the fact that no prices are listed and I just get an error message when I attempt to navigate to the G/FORE online site.
Too bad – faulty execution = no sale.
