Cobra’s new KING Forged TEC irons offer powerful combination of accuracy and distance

Cobra Golf’s next generation of KING Forged TEC irons, fuse a classic look with modern, cutting-edge face, finish and feel technologies, providing golfers with the ideal balance of precision and distance.

The KING Forged Tec Irons compete in the same space as TaylorMade’s P790 and Titleist’s T200 sets—irons that feel great by offering a forged clubhead, but using the benefits of making them hollow to add distance.

Here’s what you need to know about Cobra’s KING Forged TEC irons.

Hollow

Hollow irons equal big distance—that’s the goal of a number of forged iron sets in recent years, and it is a trajectory being followed by KING Forged Tec Irons. The hollow body offers a low center of gravity for terrific distance, while infusing the cavity with an “energizing” foam to improve the sound and feel.

PWRSHELL

The KING Forged Tec irons use a PWRSHELL face to increase ball speeds, and come armed with a larger sweet spot, meaning you don’t have to be perfect to get the most out of these irons.

Cobra CONNECT

Like a majority of COBRA equipment, the Forged TEC irons will feature the innovative COBRA CONNECT™ Powered by Arccos, allowing you to track your stats on a smart phone.

Available in both variable & ONE Length options

The KING Forged Tec will be available in ONE Length shafts, the concept popularized by Bryson Dechambeau. Every iron in the set is matched by weight and length to a 7-iron, with the goal of allowing the golfer to make one swing throughout the set. Cobra also optimized lie angles for the set, making long irons more upright, while the shorter irons lie a little flatter.

Who are they for?

These are player’s irons aimed at the golfer who can use the most tech they can get out of a traditional look. By adding the ONE Length version, Cobra is clearly aiming at the solid low-handicap golfer who is seeking more distance as they get older, or even a younger player looking to hit shorter clubs into the green. And, after all, isn’t that pretty much everyone?
