CALLAWAY’S QUANTUM FAIRWAY WOODS REFINES THE CATEGORY

“Callaway has been a leader in [the fairway] category for several years,” says Zack Oakley, Callaway’s Senior Manager of Product Strategy. “When we talk about this category, we didn’t blow this up because we didn’t feel we needed to. What we did do was make the system more efficient and more adaptable to how golfers are using fairway woods in today’s game.”

Callaway’s Quantum line for fairways and hybrids is about consistency, a focused approach that connects the two together. That’s consistent launch, impact position, and gapping so your fairways move seamlessly to the hybrids and into your irons.

Key technologies

Speed Wave 2.0

This tech was created to position the weight low and forward, increasing ball speed and consistency of launch. Speed Wave 2.0 allows for more face flex and increases energy transfer.

New Step Sole Design

Based on a technology Callaway first introduced in 2018, the new Step Sole Design reduces turf contact on the sole for efficient strikes and consistent center-face contact. A reshaped heel adds stability through impact.

Ai-Optimized Face Design

Callaway’s use of artificial intelligence continues with club faces with flex unlocked by computer processing power.  Every part of the face is precisely tuned through advanced Ai modeling to optimize speed, spin, launch, and accuracy.

OptiFit4 Hosel Adjustability

Found in the 3 and 5-wood, this technology allows for a heightened level of fitting through independent loft and lie adjustability.

Hybrids

Callaway’s Quantum Hybrid line uses many of the same advances found in the fairway woods, which the company says increases consistency and gapping. “Bringing those technology platforms into our hybrids and you’ll see those hybrids share that suite of technologies and that way a golfer isn’t choosing between a fairway technology and a hybrid technology,” says Oakley.

Fairway Woods

Max

Very similar to the driver and will span a wide range of players. Classic Callaway shallow face height that makes it easy to get into the air.

Slightly oversize with some draw bias for those golfers struggling with a slice.

Max Fast

Designed as a lightweight, easy-to-swing option for golfers with slower swing speeds.

Triple Diamond

Built for a stronger player who launches the ball lower, and is seeking less spin for more distance.

Hybrids

Max

With a mid-size profile for a neutral flight, this hybrid will fit a vast majority of golfers.

OS

With its draw bias, these hybrids work for those seeking to counteract a slice.

Max Fast
