Fast and stable.
Those are the two goals of any engineer working on a new driver. They want to create distance, but they want to assist golfers in hitting playable shots. That’s exactly what Callaway has done with its Rogue line of drivers and fairway woods. Building on the success of the Rogue line from 2018, Callaway’s goal with the products was to create “ball speed robustness,” in the ST Max line while making the new drivers more forgiving. “There’s a lot of revolutionary technology going into these,” says Dave Neville, Callaway’s Senior Director of Brand Management.
The new driver line comes in fours versions—the standard model, as well as a low spin driver, a draw bias model, and a model that mimics what tour pros are playing. The new family of drivers from Callaway are available now online and in stores.

ICYMI – Aloha! Callaway had some Big News from Hawaii!
The result is a driver that’s 1 mile per hour faster minimum, resulting in at least two yards of distance, and significantly tighter dispersion on shots. As well, Callaway found the driver to spin, on average, 250 RPM less than previous models, providing additional distance. “Consumer testing showed even larger gains,” said Neville. That’s why the drivers have the ST—Speed Time—tag.
Key technologies
Tungsten Speed Cartridge
By placing 26 grams low and back in the driver head, Rogue ST is more forgiving than previous models, assisting you in finding more fairways.
Jailbreak Speed Frame
Jailbreak is a key component in the driver. A holdover from previous Callaway drivers, Jailbreak provides stability, and Callaway says they’d finetuned the construction and shaping to deliver more stability across the face.
Artificial Intelligence Designed Face
Callaway has used AI for several years in developing its drivers, and this version uses a formula that offers lower spin and more forgiveness.
Unibody Construction
The titanium unibody construction offers stability and lower centre of gravity, while the carbon crown and sole adds discretionary weight that creates a high launch and slight draw bias.
Versions
Rogue ST Max
The main version of the driver, you’ll get a slight draw bias on this version, though not as much as the Max D.
Is it for me?
This is the version that will appeal to the largest number of players, from mid-handicappers to those with higher swing speeds.
Rogue ST Max D
Built for the slicer, this driver offers a heavy draw bias, a more upright lie and a stretched profile at address that makes the driver appear more forgiving. “Maximum shot correction,” is the tag Callaway uses.
Is it for me?
Is your cut really a slice? If so, this driver is going to help you straighten out that banana, find more distance and hit more fairways.
Rogue ST Max LS
“LS” stands for “low spin.” With a flatter flight and less spin, this driver offers workability.
Is it for me?
Do you want to cut and draw the ball? Do you find your ball spins too much off the tee, costing you distance? If so, this is the driver for you.
Rogue ST Max Triple Diamond
A tour-inspired head, this is a low spin driver for the better golfers.
Is it for me?
Do you tend to cut the ball, but want to limit spin and increase distance? Are you the kind of player who plays to a low handicap and wants to work shots off the tee? If that’s the case, you’ll want to check out the Triple Diamond, which will likely account for less than 10% of Callaway Rogue ST Max sales.
Callaway Rogue ST Max Fairway Woods
Much of the same technology found in Rogue ST Max is repurposed into Callaway’s fairway line.
Jailbreak ST
Designed through the use of artificial intelligence, this Jailbreak system has been reworked to offer more speed and stability. There are two Jailbreak “batwings” that are pushed to the perimeter of the head, allowing the face to flex for higher ball speeds.
Tungsten Speed Cartridge
The first time this technology is used in a fairway wood, by utilizing 27 grams of tungsten, the CG of the club is pushed low and forward. The result is lower spin and high ball speeds.
A.I. face optimization
Like the technology developed for its driver, Callaway uses artificial intelligence to create a face that optimizes speed, launch and spin. There’s a unique face pattern for each model in the line.
Flash Face Cup
Designed for strength and flexibility, the Flash Face Cup offers speed and spin support.
Is it for me?
Rogue ST Max
This fairway wood will fit a wide range of players with all-around performance. Available in 3-wood to 11-wood.
Rogue ST Max D
A draw version of the fairway wood, this offers significant shot shape correction, with a slightly closed face, an upright lie angle and additional heel weighting.
Rogue ST LS
The low spin version of the fairway wood, this is suited to better players with a low-and-forward centre of gravity.
