Bushnell Pro XE takes rangefinders to next level

Bushnell is one of the most trusted companies in golf. You’ll find everyone from PGA Tour pros to your weekend player whipping out a Bushnell laser rangefinder to calculate the distance over a bunker or to the flag tucked deep on a green. They are exacting—even when you can’t quite dial in a shot in the same way that a tour pro does. Using a rangefinder is also fast—much quicker than walking off the distance to a sprinkler head, for example.

Bushnell’s latest—the Pro XE—is designed to take the traditional rangefinder to the next level.

In recent years, Bushnell has offered rangefinders that take elevation into account and calculate yardage with increases or decreases taken in to account. But the latest Bushnell pushes that a step further, by factoring in elevation and altitude. Anyone who has ventured from Ontario or British Columbia to play in the mountains of Alberta, at one of Canada’s top courses like Fairmont Banff Springs, recognizes that elevation increases means the ball travels farther. But how do you factor that in? Surely you’ve been told at some point that your shots fly shorter when you’re at sea level and higher when you’re in the mountains. But how much? The Pro XE factors that in the yardage, as well as considering temperature. Golf shots fly greater distances in warm weather, so that’s now a factor as well.

Features & Benefits

  • The Pro XE offers seven-times magnification up to 500 yards.
  • How does the Pro XE determine elevation and weather? Bushnell brings in an “elements” feature that calculates the difference in distance in warm or cooler weather, as well as based on elevation from sea level.
  • Don’t have a steady hand? Bushnell’s JOLT technology is improved in the Pro XE, with a red ring on the screen flashing to indicate you’re locked on the flag.
  • BITE technology allows the rangefinder to be secured to a cart bar without an aftermarket accessory.

Who is it for?

Do you travel a lot to play golf? Interested in knowing exact yardages without having to try to calculate the difference in elevation? If you’re the kind of person who wants to know the nuances of the distance on the course, then the Bushnell Pro XE is likely to capture your attention.  Available now in-stores and online.
