Go for the Green this Earth Day (in a new way)

Sustainability has become an important buzzword not just in golf over the last few years but in our day-to-day lives.

As so many individuals and companies have pivoted to living a more environmentally friendly life, that movement has very quickly made its way to golf.

And how could it not?

The game is played outdoors, and part of the splendor of the sport is the grass and the trees and the air and the nature we all feel, hear, and experience when we’re on the course. Especially for us Canadians after a long winter, there’s nothing quite like a fresh springtime walk outside on a golf course.

If you’re interested in going for the green (in a different kind of way) then Golf Town has a ton of sustainable products available for the 2022 golf season.

“It’s exciting to see so many brands taking an environmentally friendly approach to developing and producing new products,” says Geoff Pinheiro, the Director of Purchasing for Golf Town. “Several products have now been manufactured by recycling plastics or by using natural based dyes during their production process.”

Whether it’s bags, shoes, shirts, tees, or even underwear Golf Town has all the sustainable products you need for the 2022 golf season.

Both Wilson (Eco Carry Bag) and Sun Mountain (Eco-Lite Stand Bag) have excellent options for lugging your sticks in a greener way. The Eco-Lite from Sun Mountain is made using upwards of 25 recycled plastic bottles, while EPOCH also leans into recycled plastic to make its tees.

2UNDR and Nike have a new line of eco-friendly gear for 2022. The Eco Shift from 2UNDR is made from TENCEL fibers in an environmentally responsible process, manufactured from renewable resources.

While the Nike Dri-FIT Victory line of tops are all made from 100 percent recycled polyester fibers.

And if you’re looking for footwear, adidas’ new TOUR360 (for men and women) is chalk-full of all the top-tier tech you’d expect from adidas for style, comfort, and stability plus high-performance recycled materials and an upper made with 50 percent recycled content.

Now, with so many companies putting the planet first, you can feel good about your gear and your game.
