G/Fore is Unique, Bold & Stylish

G/FORE is one of the most unique brands in golf these days, and after years of dropping colourful and creative shoes, clothes, hats, and gloves, starting this summer you’ll be able to get golf bags, too.

The European brand known for its bold colours and alternative designs of traditional golf gear will drop the Daytona and Killer Lux Stand Bag exclusive to Golf Town this summer in two colours (Daytona navy and Daytona black) (Killer Lux blue camo) in concert with Vessel, one of the most well-known bag manufacturers in the world.

“They’re great bags,” says Geoff Pinheiro, the director of purchasing at Golf Town. “They’ve partnered with Vessel, so you know they’re going to be a good quality product, and they’re more of a traditional, leather-style bag.

“Everything (G/FORE does) is of top quality that they build out. Quality, tradition, but new design and new forward thinking… that’s G/FORE. The bags are really exciting, and cool.”

With G/FORE, golfers are choosing to be fashion forward, however, the technical specs of G/FORE’s gear is almost second-to-none.

It’s a brand steeped in tradition, but definitely cutting edge, says Pinheiro. G/FORE allows people to express their inner creativity with some of the designs like the skulls-and-tees, or the brighter-and-bolder camo prints, or even the coloured gloves.

Although the company is about a decade old, it has really taken off for Golf Town in the last three years or so.

“In fashion in general we’re seeing a lot of prints, generally. We’ve gone away from stripes and we’re seeing fun prints – G/FORE was at the forefront of that,” says Pinheiro. “They really do push the envelope and it’s something nice to get people into the whole vibe of getting ready to go play golf.”

It’s likely you’ve seen some of G/FORE’s gear either on Tour or on a recent trip to Golf Town – the stuff is hard to miss with its colours or catch phrases like ‘Pray for Birdies.’ But Pinheiro says it’s been incredibly popular with all golfers for a combination of its look, feel, and performance.

The golf bags, set to be released soon, will be another fine addition to the G/FORE lineup at Golf Town. As golfers come out and play even more this summer, the bold patterns of G/FORE will likely be seen even more often.

“As golf skews a little younger, those types of designs and colourways really speak to that consumer as well,” says Pinheiro. “Guys my age, and above, are wearing it as well. It fits in there. Ladies appreciate it as well. It’s nice to see a brand that encompasses everyone who plays golf and not just a specific category.”
