FootJoy launches all-new athletic-infused FJ Fury

An athletic shoe that features incredible comfort—that’s the pitch behind FootJoy’s new FJ Fury, the latest shoe by the iconic footwear maker.

“We build performance into everything we do,” says Kevin Duffy, FootJoy’s senior product manager. “But this is also a particularly comfortable shoe.”

The Approach: With an internal fit system that ensures comfort and support, the FJ Fury is a shoe that is both extremely comfortable, while offering the performance demanded by the best players in the world, all rolled into an athletic package. “We created an inner fit sleeve that really pulls your foot into position,” says Duffy.

The FJ Fury has the contemporary stylings of a running shoe, and all the comfort that comes with it. Its available in both boa and regular styles.

Features & Benefits

Inner Fit Sleeve—a soft one-piece sleeve underneath the insole board, guarantees a comfortable, secure fit.

FlexGrid MLC Cage—structure in the shoe’s upper locks the foot into place as they are laced up. “This is important for the golfer during the swing when they are loading,” says Duffy.

OrthoLite Impressions FitBed—With two densities of foam, this makes Fury incredibly comfortable as it moulds to your foot. As the title suggests, this takes an impression of your foot, creating a unique fit.

D3 Outsole—A rigid platform that adds stability to the swing, the outsole promotes the necessary traction, while the liquid metal inspired flex layer of TPU and cleats guarantee the connection to the ground and the flexibility golfers demand.

Who are they for?

With a 2-year waterproof warranty, FJ Fury is another fine addition to the company’s footwear lineup. “This is a great mix of the aesthetic and functionality, with incredible comfort,” Duffy says. So who is it aimed at? With its mid-tier price point, athletic styling and stability, this is a player’s shoe for someone who is seeking value and wants the latest technology in a comfortable package.

FJ Fury hits Golf Town shelves February 1.
