Celebrating 30 years of award winning performance and traditional style.

For almost 100 years, FootJoy has been one of the most noted and recognized brands in the golf industry, renowned for its footwear, worn by professionals and weekend warriors alike.

This year marks another milestone for the brand—the 30th anniversary of its DryJoys line, which is a shoe that’s set the standard for waterproof footwear, and has more recently moved into outerwear as well. To celebrate that accomplishment, FootJoy is offering a limited edition 30th-anniversary version of its shoe.

DryJoy Evolution

1989

First launched in 1989, the DryJoy was an attempt to offer a waterproof shoe and a guarantee of its resiliency, at a time when there was no guarantee your socks wouldn’t be soaking when your round was finished.

1996

FootJoy continued to make advancements—a new non-membrane waterproof technology and responsive arch support, revolutionizing the golf shoe industry.

1999

With a two-year waterproof warranty, the DryJoy become the first waterproof welted golf shoe.

2001

FootJoy introduced the Optiflex Outsole, making this version of the DryJoy the most flexible to date.

2007

The beloved DryJoys shoe was re-engineered with new technology to deliver the new standard in performance and stability and introduction of flexibility. It was a more athletic look for the shoe, one that’s been followed by DNA Helix, which continues the modern aesthetic with a ton of technology as well.

2011

This was our first look at the DryJoys Tour – a blend of a traditional look on the upper, but with added stability to the outsole, making the shoe comfortable and perfect for the current power game.

2019

And here we are to today. The DryJoys’ 30th Anniversary edition. If you like the latest in technical advancements, comfort, and the guarantee your feet are staying dry, well then perhaps DryJoys are ideal. The 30th anniversary version offers the technology one has come to expect from the company’s footwear—stability and comfort where it matters most—which has made it among the most recognized in the business, while using a traditional look. Imagine the appeal of a classic car with a Ferrari engine, and you’ve got the picture. In this case, the classic saddle aesthetic harkens back to the shoe’s origins in 1989. As they say, timeless never goes out of fashion.
