Finding the right jacket for those in-between days on the fairways can be a real challenge. It won’t (hopefully) be raining when you’re out on the course in the fall or spring, but you never know about changing conditions in the shoulder seasons in Canada. You don’t want to layer up too much in the fall—and you want to be able to take some of it off when the days warm. That’s why adidas created its Go-To Adapt Jacket, meant for the changing conditions you find on the course.
adidas tapped into consumer research when developing the new jacket. Those golfers told them they wanted something that worked on and off the course, when you needed to be warm, but aren’t necessarily looking for something that utilizes a lot of tech. The Go-To Adapt Jacket offers “everything a golf needs and nothing they don’t.”
“Golfers are used to having apparel that works for the two temperature extremes,” said Christine Cowan, global director of apparel, adidas Golf. “But there are days when you need to be able to transition, for example, from a cooler morning to a warmer afternoon. That’s why we created the Go-To Adapt Jacket.”
Key Features:
Available in Men’s and Women’s
The Go-To Adapt Jackets are part of a “dual gender” initiative that means the women’s jacket has a more feminine cut, but shares the same aesthetic and tech as the men’s jacket.
Stretch
The Go-To Adapt Jacket is an great mid-weight option that provides stretch and breathability, meaning it will work away from the course and on those cool mornings in October.
Telescope Cuff
Golfers often want to alter their sleeves while playing, and sometimes roll them up, but no one likes stretched sleeves that flop around after. The Go-To Adapt Jacket offers a telescope cuff that can stretch, so you can roll the sleeves up as often as you like and they’ll go right back in place.
Moisture Wicking
The jacket offers a great mix of heating and cooling to keep you at a comfortable temperature throughout your round. The upper section of the jacket is made from polyester to provide breathability, while the fleece-lined section keeps your core warm.
Other Features
You’ll find front-zip pockets, internal headphone pockets for those that like to rock out while they are hitting balls on the range, articulated elbows for added motion, and a droptail hem for extra coverage.
adidas Golf’s Go-To Adapt Jacket is available now in-store or online.
