Patrick Mahomes is one of the most recognizable, celebrated, and impressive athletes in the world.
And boy, does he love golf.
Mahomes, the Super Bowl-winning quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, told Golf Magazine recently that the sport has become a “huge part” of everything he does – including planning trips in the off-season.
“I just love to be able to go relax and be away from everything on the course,” he said.
That’s a relatable comment, no matter if you’re a weekend warrior like most of us, or if you’ve got wet ink on a 10-year, $503-million contract like Mahomes.
Mahomes – along with fellow Kansas City Chiefs player Travis Kelce – won the celebrity 8AM Golf Invitational in mid-April, hosted by Justin Timberlake. The duo shot 18-under at the Wynn Golf Course in Las Vegas.
But that’s not the only time we’re going to see Mahomes on the course this summer. He’s teaming up with Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen to take on Tampa Bay’s Tom Brady and Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers in the latest installment of The Match, set for that same Las Vegas course on June 1.

The new AdiCross mock-neck polo is made of 100 percent recycled polyester and has a textured jacquard look. The fabric is super soft and stretch but is made of moisture-wicking Aeroready material to keep you cool.
The Go-To Pocket polo, available in three colours, has a chest pocket, side-hem vents, built-in UV coverage, and looks just as good on the course and off.
SHOES
The two new shoe releases from adidas are all about casual style and top-tier performance.
First up is the Rebelcross – a spikeless effort adidas is calling the “ultimate crossover.” Available in two colours, the Rebelcross features BOOST for comfort and Lightstrike cushioning for great support. Adiwear rubber also provides you with spikeless comfort off the course.
Next is the Flopshot. Another spikeless shoe – and also available in two colours – the Flopshot has BOOST cushioning in the heel, while a rubberized spikeless outsole gives golfers extra grip and stability. The Flopshot is also built of 50-percent recycled content.
HATS
The new adidas golf hat has totally reimagined the ‘three stripes’ look that adidas has been long known for.
Instead of the, well, stripes, this hat features the number ‘3’ on a tee. It’s a lightweight bucket with an adjustable snapback closure for a perfect fit, pre-curved brim, and rope detailing. Not only does it fit great, but the hat is made of a minimum of 60 percent high-performance recycled materials.
