In late 2018, Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson tried some pay-per-view golf, playing a head-to-head match in Las Vegas. The pair will try it again, this time in a match with proceeds going to Covid-19 relief and other charities, and with the two golf legends paired with NFL greats Peyton Manning and Tom Brady. The match had been rumoured for some time, but was confirmed it today on Twitter.
After feeling the sting of defeat the first time around, Looks like @TigerWoods is bringing a ringer to The Match (#PeytonManning).
I’m bringing a 🐐 @TomBrady – Ready to hit 💣’s? https://t.co/ilaqS05QQs

Woods will partner with Manning and Mickelson will play with Brady. The date and time is still up in the air, but TNT will televise the match. Some sources have said the event will go forward on May 24, but that has not been confirmed.
We know how good Woods and Mickelson are—but what about their playing partners?
Manning is a strong player, carrying a handicap of eight into the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, though he’s been as low as a four. Brady is also a decent player, with a handicap that’s comparable.
Brady roasted Manning, who is now several years into retirement, when the pair were at Pebble Beach for the PGA Tour stop earlier in the year.
“Peyton is the better golfer right now,” Brady said on Twitter. “He’s had much more practice these past few years.”
So what do you think? Who has the advantage? Will Phil repeat with Brady by his side? Or will Tiger and Manning – both who have overcome major injuries in their careers to become champions again – take this one?
