GROWING THE GAME TOGETHER: A LOOK BACK AT OUR 2025 COMMUNITY INITIATIVES

What a year!

As more Canadians take up the game, golf continues to welcome people from diverse backgrounds and all skill levels. With a renewed emphasis on enjoyment, not to mention the mental and physical health benefits the game provides, golf is the perfect way to spend time with friends you’ve known for years or those you’ve just met.

Golf Town was proud to lead a variety of community initiatives, all designed to spark a lifelong passion for the game.

At the grassroots level, our Come Out and Play Junior Girls Golf Camps in Edmonton, Calgary and Toronto once again introduced young girls to golf with a focus on fun and friends. Over a hundred girls aged 7-14 took part in the three camps, each receiving a brand-new set of Cobra clubs to start them on their golf journey. We’re excited to continue growing this incredible initiative in 2026!

Beyond junior golf, We’ve strengthened our partnerships with a number of community-based organizations including the Tamil Golfers Association and Black Women Golfers as we strive to help grow the game and make it more accessible for everyone.

Our Ladies Night shopping parties held across the country in May were a chance for women to come in-store after hours to enjoy exclusive deals, discounts and giveaways in a fun, relaxed atmosphere. In August, we took the party to the course as we booked the tee sheets ay Mill Run Golf Club in Uxbridge and asked women to bring some friends and Come Out and Play a round on us.

On the national stage, The Brooke Brigade was cheering even louder this summer as Golf Town Ambassador Brooke Henderson captured her second CPKC Women’s Open title. Hundreds of kids holding signs and decked out in red Brooke Brigade t-shirts lined the fairways at The Mississauga Golf and Country Club and watched Brooke win a thrilling battle with playing partner Minjee Lee. For the second straight year, the Golf Town Tour Truck was on site – a pro-shop where our Master Club Fitters were standing by to take care of any of the players’ equipment needs.

Golf Town is delighted to work with partners and influencers who help spread the message of inclusivity and enjoyment across the game. Lisa “Longball” Vlooswyk continues to be a tremendous champion for women’s golf, hosting a number of virtual clinics that inspire and educate golfers of all skill levels. This year, we also partnered with Alexa Kim and Callaway to host her Fore the Ladies Golf Clinic in October, welcoming women into one of our Golf Town locations for tips, drills, and confidence-building instruction to help take their game to the next level.

As we look back on an incredible year for the golf community, Golf Town wants you to know how grateful we are to be your playing partner as we continue to grow the game we love.

Looking forward to even more great things in 2026!

Hugh Burrill, Golf Town Host/Ambassador
