BREAKING RECORDS, GROWING THE GAME, AND GIVING BACK IN 2024

2024 was a truly historic year for Golf Town—a year of breaking barriers, creating memories, and growing the game we all love.

And we couldn’t have done it without you and your love of golf.

In October, we teamed up with Random Golf Club to host the groundbreaking 400-Some event at the Club at Bond Head. It was a record-breaking event that saw the largest number of people ever playing the same hole simultaneously. The day was a celebration of golf’s inclusivity and community spirit. Golfers from all backgrounds and playing abilities came out to experience a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and make new friends. What a day!

In July, at the CPKC Women’s Open in Calgary, we were proud to level the playing field with our Golf Town Tour Truck. Our Master Club Fitters were standing by to regrip clubs, cut shafts, and adjust loft and lie – amenities not usually available on the women’s tour. It was an absolute privilege to provide these services for some of the best players in the world.

And it wouldn’t be a CPKC Women’s Open without catching up with the Brooke Brigade. Once again, hundreds of kids donned the familiar red t-shirts to show support for Golf Town Ambassador Brooke Henderson and her sister Brittany. Many kids were lucky enough to catch the action up close from one of two exclusive greenside Brooke Brigade viewing areas.

This year, we expanded our Junior Girls Camps to Edmonton, Calgary, and Toronto, providing even more young players the chance to fall in love with the game. Golf Town teamed up with Cobra Golf to ensure each girl received a free set of clubs while getting an introduction to a game we hope stays with them for life. We’re very excited to announce that Vancouver and Montreal will be added to the roster next summer.

From the future of the game to the present … Golf Town again put ladies in the spotlight. We sponsored SAP’s “Tee Up 4 Success”, an initiative designed to introduce women from the corporate world to the game of golf, which, in turn, leads to networking and social opportunities.

In May, Golf Town hosted a special shopping night exclusively for women, featuring deals, discounts and giveaways galore and in August, we filled the tee sheet at Mill Run for our annual Women’s Event, where ladies were invited to bring a friend and Come Out and Play, on us.

Golf Town is always looking for ways to reduce our environmental impact. That’s why we partnered with Edmonton-based ReWaste to recycle used grips and give them new life as sustainable products. This year we diverted over 450-thousand grips from the landfill, which equates to removing the emissions of 28 vehicles from the road.

2024 was an incredible year filled with new opportunities and adventures. Can’t wait for 2025!
