Playing in a field with men’s Champions Tour players, including major championship winners, as well as a number of former MLB stars, Golf Town athlete Brooke Henderson more than held her own in her competitive debut with PING’s G400 driver.

Henderson, playing in the Diamond Resorts Invitational in Florida, alongside players like John Daly, Nick Faldo and Mark Calcavecchia, finished in a tie for seventh in a Stableford event. Henderson finished with 15 birdies and rounds of 66-67-68 at the tournament in Florida.
“I had so much fun this week playing with celebrities, Champions Tour guys, even the CEO of Diamond Resorts, which was really fun,” Henderson said following the round.
Henderson will kick off her LPGA season this week at the Pure Silk-Bahamas LPGA Classic.
The tournament was Henderson’s first with Ping’s G400 driver, which she was fit for in recent weeks. Henderson told Golf Town late last year that she’d use some downtime heading towards Christmas to get fit for Ping’s latest driver.
“I don’t change often or easily, but with the new equipment and technology, you have a good feel and fit for it right away and I know whether or not it’s right for me,” she said. “There have been a few times where it’s gone right in the bag after the first session.”
Apparently, with Ping’s G400, that’s exactly the case.
